February is often filled with hearts, flowers, and reminders to show love to others, but when was the last time you truly showed love to yourself?
For so long, I believed self-love was something I’d get around to “someday,” but I’ve realized it’s not something we can afford to put off. Taking care of yourself, mind, body, and soul isn’t selfish. It’s necessary.
Self-love doesn’t have to be complicated or extravagant. It’s in the little things. For me, it’s about slowing down and choosing what truly nourishes me. It might be a quiet walk in the fresh air, making a simple, colorful meal that feels good, or even just drinking enough water in a day.
I’ve learned that self-love is also about letting go of the pressure to be perfect. Some days, I feel like I’ve got it all together—meal prepped, exercised, and stayed positive. And other days? I’m sweating, overwhelmed, and just trying to keep up. But here’s what I’m learning: It’s all okay. Progress is the goal, not perfection.
When we care for our bodies, something beautiful happens. It’s like our soul feels love too. Whether it’s eating foods that fuel you, moving in a way that feels good, or simply taking a deep breath and appreciating your incredible body, these small acts of love add up.
And here’s the thing: this isn’t just about you. When you take care of yourself, you’re filling your cup so you can pour into the people and purposes you care about most.
So, this month, I’m inviting you to join me in making self-love a priority. Let’s commit to showing ourselves grace, celebrating the little wins, and nurturing our bodies with the love they deserve.
What’s one way you’ll practice self-love this month? Let me know—I’d love to cheer you on. 💖
We’re in this together.
